This June, I invite you to celebrate God’s beautiful rainbow of promise with me.
Did you know that when you see a rainbow in clouds (if you’re looking down) from up high on a mountain or from an airplane or jet, it’s always round. God doesn’t do anything by halves and He keeps His promises. None of them are broken.
Every rainbow that God makes IS unbroken–whether we can see all of it or not.
God’s Rainbow Promise
“I set My rainbow in the cloud,
and it shall be for the sign of the covenant
between Me and the earth.
It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth,
that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud;
and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you
and every living creature of all flesh;
the waters shall never again become a flood
to destroy all flesh.”
Genesis 9:13-15 (NKJV)
Did you know that there is a second part to God’s rainbow promise? While He promised that He would never again destroy the whole earth with a flood, He has also warned that He will someday destroy our world with fire (2 Peter 3:10-12). Judgment is coming. How should we then live?
